Welcome to Angležko. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and with whom we share it.

1. Data Controller

2. Data We Collect

Registration data: username, email address (if required), and password (stored as a secure hash).
Progress and activity: lesson progress, scores, and user settings.
Technical data: IP address (anonymised where possible), device type, browser, language, and timestamps.
Cookies and trackers: cookies, local storage, and analytics for app functionality and improvement.

3. How We Use Your Data

To operate the app (login, saving progress).
To personalise your experience (settings, lesson recommendations).
For analytics and improvements (error detection, content improvements).
For security and abuse prevention (authentication, abuse detection).

4. Legal Basis

The legal basis for processing depends on the type of data:

Performance of a contract / service fulfilment (e.g. saving user progress).
Consent — where required (e.g. marketing emails, analytics if you agree to tracking).
Legitimate interest (e.g. abuse prevention, security).

5. Third Parties We Work With

In some cases we use third-party services (sub-processors). These may include:

MySQL and Node.js server (hosted via hitrost.com) — database storage and authentication — acting as a data processor.
reCAPTCHA (Google) — for abuse protection. See Google's privacy policy for details.
Paddle — for web payment processing. Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and has its own privacy policy.
RevenueCat — for in-app subscription management on iOS.

We share only the data necessary for the service. We have appropriate data processing agreements with our partners.

6. Cookies and Local Storage

We use cookies and local storage for:

Session management and login.
Storing user settings.
Analytics (only with your consent).

You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work without them.

7. Data Retention

We retain data for as long as necessary for the stated purpose or as required by applicable law. Account data is retained while the account is active or until you request deletion.

8. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures (e.g. password hashing, restricted access to production keys). However, no system is 100% secure — please review and update your security settings regularly.

9. Your Rights

Under GDPR you have the right to:

access your personal data;
rectify inaccurate data;
erasure ("right to be forgotten"), where not prevented by law;
restriction of processing;
data portability;
object to processing based on legitimate interest or direct marketing.

To exercise your rights, write to: info@anglezko.eu. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in Slovenia: the Information Commissioner).

10. Children

The app is not directed at children under the age of 3. If we become aware that data of a child has been collected without parental consent, we will delete it where possible.

11. Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or by email where appropriate.
